It is one thing to say "be kind" and "be inclusive" but it something entirely different to view each and every person as a fellow member of humanity who deserves to be treated as valuable, irreplaceable, and wanted.  Bud's Buds main goal is to presume competence and spread happiness.  We are a part of a revolution to give people the opportunity to be a part of something.  

At Bud's Buds, we have a steadfast commitment to address unmet needs in our community for supportive employment for individuals with a disability, especially those whose needs are moderate to severe.  We seek to include the unincluded and support the unsupported through adapted and extraordinary experiences that promote shared experiences and inclusion.   

Human connection can be a rich source of happiness.  We set off on a journey to create a product that was simple, relatively fast, accessible, incorporated recycled materials, and has a useful purpose.  We knew we wanted to be able to address a multitude of individual and unique needs, so the product and craft needed to be adaptable and relevant.  We wanted a product that Bud's Buds artists could have a hand in from start to finish so that the product was entirely 'theirs.'  We also have a love for flowers and noticed how a simple flower in a vase could make someone smile.  That's where Bud's Buds was born.  A product that requires no spoken language, no advance motor skills, no complicated thought processes.  You can hand someone a flower and be a part of a truly beautiful, shared experience with another human being.   In the end, Bud's Buds actually quite poetic-- taking something that is seen as unuseful and making it into something uniquely beautiful.
